Meeting strict hygiene standards within the Cosmetics & Pharmaceutical industries is of the utmost importance. At TS Pumps we have a range of pumps suited to a variety of applications across multiple key industries.
As with any product, there are high consumer expectations surrounding the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. With so many eyes on such important industries, it is essential to ensure that your business is efficiently and hygienically running its operations. Therefore, the pumps we supply to these industries are all sanitary pumps and have high cleanability standards.
2 important things to consider when looking for a suitable pump are:
Here is a list of pumps we recommend for use within the Cosmetics & Pharmaceutical industries:
The Sanitary Lobe Pump is a versatile pump that can be fitted with numerous accessories and various sealing and valve options. Lobe Pumps support CIP and SIP (Clean in Place and Sterilisation in Place) which ensures efficient cleaning and operation of your pump.
Our Sanitary Diaphragm Pump supports CIP and SIP, and offers the ability to turn in its installation for drainage, resulting in high cleanability. The pump is easily maintained, keeping down time and maintenance costs low.
The Aseptic Diaphragm Pump has been cleanability tested for optimal hygiene. This pump has many similar benefits associated with the Sanitary Diaphragm Pump, including CIP and SIP.
The Pharmaceutical Diaphragm Pump is ideal for bio-tech and pharmaceutical businesses. Smooth internals and a reduced risk of contamination. USP VI Compliant.
Peristaltic Pumps are hygienic pumps as the hose is the only part that comes into contact with the product being pumped. We recommend the PTL Peristaltic Pump for the hygienic applications which can handle solids up to 9mm and are supplied with hoses that are FDA approved.
For products such as bath bombs we can provide a Sanitary Powder Pump. Accessories can also be supplied with many of our pumps such as a Guardian System (pneumatic pump monitoring system) or a Heating Jacket to maintain hot or cold temperatures of your product as required.
Any pumps pumping products where the end use is human consumption need to be sanitary because they come into contact with humans. Therefore, any food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic products must be hygienic due to the end goal of these products.
All Sanitary Pumps must be FDA certified or have EHEDG approval. This means ALL wetted parts of the pump must be FDA approved, not just the mechanical seals. These pumps will all be manufactured from high quality stainless steel for optimum hygiene and typically have a reduced number of parts that are completely solid so that product cannot get trapped in any areas of the pump.
