Performance

The Powder pump features a non-stick PTFE coating which decreases the amount of resistance within the pump. We recommend this pump for use with powders that do not clump together when squeezed in your hand. For example, silicones and carbon black can be used successfully.

How does the pump work?

The pump operates in the same way as all of the Diaphragm Pumps that we supply:

Compressed air drives diaphragms inside the pump casing.
The diaphragms work in unison to draw fluid into one side of the pump housing and expel it through the outlet on the other side of the pump housing.

The difference between standard Diaphragm Pumps and our Powder Pumps is that they recycle air from the air exhaust and take it back into the pump by the ball valves in order to displace any powder that has been compacted by the opening and closing of the valve.

The TP Powder Pump is based on a standard Diaphragm Pump and is an economical and compact alternative to many complex and large powder systems. It’s innovative design not only means it can be portable but also reduces the space requirement for powder transfer applications and the complexity and cost of installation, commissioning & maintenance. The TP Powder Transfer Pumps are a modified version from the standard PTFE coated aluminium series as the non-stick PTFE coating enables an efficient transfer through the pump, with the least possible resistance.
