Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Pump FAQs
Why does the pump need to be a Sanitary Pump?
Any pumps pumping products where the end use is human consumption need to be sanitary because they are coming into contact with humans. Therefore, any food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic products must be hygienic due to the end goal of these products.
What qualifies a Sanitary Pump?
Any Sanitary Pump must be FDA certified or have EHEDG approval – and this means ALL wetted parts of the pump must be FDA approved, not just the mechanical seals! These pumps will all be manufactured from high quality stainless steel for optimum hygiene and typically have a reduced number of parts that are completely solid so that product cannot get trapped in any areas of the pump.
