HDPE & PTFE Diaphragm Pump

The HDPE & PTFE Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump is machined from solid block HDPE and PTFE meaning they are suitable for handling a range of liquids including viscous, chemically aggressive or those containing abrasive solids. This design also means that the Diaphragm Pumps feature approximately 70% fewer parts than other AOD Pumps on the market.

Performance

Tapflo’s patented control and monitoring equipment are accurate for precise control when paired with routine maintenance, the pump can perform at its optimal ability.

Diaphragm Pump Options

Our HDPE/PTFE Diaphragm Pumps are available as a range of executions including drum pump, with built-in air kit, built-on dampener, trolley-mounted or with optional carry handles. Handles for HDPE/PTFE Diaphragm Pumps are manufactured from PTFE coated Stainless Steel AISI 304L.

HDPE

HDPE Pumps have a superior wear resistance than standard Polypropylene which ensures they can handle abrasive fluids. For parts that are more vulnerable to wear inside the pump, such as valve seats and ball stoppers, use a different grade of HDPE that has an even greater resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress.

HDPE is also resistant to the most aggressive chemicals such as concentrated acids and alkalis. This means that Tapflo’s HDPE Pumps are ideal for chemical handling.

PTFE

Another option for Tapflo’s plastic AOD Pumps is PTFE. These are manufactured from solid block virgin PTFE and has a superior chemical and temperature resistance to HDPE. For example, PTFE can handle temperatures up to 100°C instead of 70°C for HDPE.

  • A range of pneumatic accessories to support the pumping process, control & maintenance of the pump. The full range has been designed and manufactured in the UK by our team.
  • Discharge Pressure up to 8 Bar as standard or 16 Bar when the system features a booster
  • Air Operated – simple to install and intrinsically safe. ATEX rated HDPE/PTFE Pumps available.
  • Able to run dry without damage to the pump. Please note that dry running for long periods of time will cause increased wear to the pump’s internals.
  • Lubricant-free air distribution system
  • Various installation options including flooded, self-priming & submerged
  • Various configurations are available including pumps with twin inlet and/or outlet ports, Barrier Diaphragm Pumps and Filter Press options to name a few.
  • Features a no-nut, clean face diaphragm which aids in extending the life of the diaphragms. The layers of the diaphragm are chemically bonded rather than being held together with a nut, like many of our competitors’ diaphragms. No-nut reduces the risk of leakage and means the diaphragms are easy to clean.

Performance Range

The Tapflo PE & PTFE Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps have a wide range of capacities to suit almost any application, from metering and dosing to general transfer. The max capacity range varies from 11 – 820 l/min with discharges pressures up to 8 bar as standard & solids passage up to 15 mm.
